bent tip

Great poles for stashing in pack, very light but second time using bent the tip! On what I don't know, couldn't have been anything too hard because I would have felt it. Didn't even notice it was bent until I got back to my vehicle , was putting them away and was very surprised to see the tip bent. Isn't that the strongest part of the pole?
