K2 Shuksan (new version)
By ragdoll
Ranked #1165 - Telemark Skis and Alpine Touring Skis
January 10, 2005
I've had these skis (with FRITSCHI IIIs)about a year and have spent about 8 days in the backcountry and an eq number at ski areas. They are light enought to tour well but still quite good on steeps and hardpack. As I'm 6'4" 190#, I was a little concerned that the 181 cm length would be too short for me, but they are remarkably stable at speed and on ice. The short length and sidecut make them great in tight trees and they work well with soft AT boots (much better than the 188 cm K2 fours I skiied before.)
