nice jacket, but runs small

I am 5'6 120 lbs and the medium ran small once I got the Arc Teryx Delta midlayer on. It felt small in the arm pits and around the mid section...I usually wear a 6 in other clothes. I have ordered the large and am awaiting it's arrival. I think if you are in really cold weather and you need a mid layer, go a size up.

I am also 5'5"" but close to 130 lbs and my husband just purchased a small (since I always wear small) for me in the ember color since the only other color was basmati. Did you get the large and how does it fit? We ski in the East every weekend and I always layer , so I'm wondering if I should order the large, regardless of the color.
