I've used Patagonia and REI liners up until now when I wanted to try these since all mine have holes by now. These are slightly heavier then the prior brands, and I welcomed it - still light, but less likely to rip after a season. Substantial. I highly recommend these liners, they performed on the trail --and they can also hold their own in the city if I'm in a rush and they're the only socks I can grab. I plan to get more.
