1) best parka i have ever owned!
2) live in ny and it keeps you warm in 10 to 20 degree temperatures with winds.
3) the hood is great. Is face protective!

The icefall parka - from feathered friends, which is an expedition parka
That costs about $200 more!!!
(i should know. I own both)
5) this year i bought my second mt. Hardwear subzero sl parka!!
6) i simply feel absolutely safe, knowing i have this warm and well designed protective parka.
7) it is a better parka than anything made by north face, ll bean, eastern mountain sports, land's end, or most any other manufacturer.
Bottom line:
Go for it!!! It is a great parka!!
