Hmm...maybe the "hiking" should go

Granted, this shoe is very durable and looks rad. But it isn't really designed for use beyond "day hikes, weekend backpacking trips." By day five of a six day 65 mile loop in the Sawtooths, the "Secure-fit Lace Capture System" started causing bruising on the back of my heel. After being chastised by the girlfriend for going too slow I had to switch to the Chaco sandals for the final eight miles. The eVENT fabric kept the shoes dry for about the first 30 minutes of a two-hour downpour (as good as any shoe could do in that weather I suppose). They don't breath that well. All-in-all it is comfortable for day use and casual wear and a sweet looking design if you're a KEEN fan. I still wear them often...just not on the trail.
