Columbia Lander Pants

These pants are great. Although I like the comfort of stonewashed denim jeans, it gets tiring to wear the same thing. The Lander Pants are a great substitute - they were instantly soft and comfortable. You can hang out in them all day and they are 1 notch up in "dressiness" from jeans (at least in my opinion). The side pocket around knee height makes a great cell phone holder and avoids the belt clips which I never liked. Overall, a great pair of pants - enough so, that I bought them in 4 different colors after checking out one of them.

Cell phone pocket is on the right thigh, not the back. It does not have velcro. It fits an iPhone perfectly, but if you sit down, phones will fall out periodically, so it's not actually functional!

Does the cell phone back pocket have a velcro to keep the pocket shut? Or is it just an open flapless pocket?
