Gear Review
Nice pants.

I got the Peat Moss color, and from the picture, it looks like a shiny, smooth material, but really it's a matte green color, with a slightly rough texture. The green is also a little lighter and less vibrant than it appears on the site (which is a good thing by me). The pants are pretty thick and burly; I don't think they'll ever wear out. Think of them as a family heirloom. The hip pockets have a nice soft fleece lining, but they're a little too small. I think the Mountain Hardwear nut-shaped rivets are a nice touch. I'm 5'9" with a 30 inch waist, and the 30/reg's are perfect.

these are nice pants, I got the last medium longs available anywhere this year after scouring the internet and pleading with Mountain Hardware to find me a pair. I'm very tall and these pants still come up a bit short unless you tuck the cuffs into some gaiters, then, the stretch material will make me a better fit. I, also, got a more expensive but similar pants that is the bees knees and that would be the Navigator pant. Again, as far as I am aware, I got the last medium long pant available. This pant is the best softshell I've seen yet, as the zip on off gaiters hook on to your boots and thus my size works for anywhere between 6 ft to 6'6". The Piero is a good compromise pant for the money
