So this is my first pair of "trail" shoes. The first day of running I did about 4 miles. I have the Black/Black, very sharp looking and the quick lace system is the bomb. After the 4 miles I was not really impressed. I over pronate some and was starting to get the same pain I do when my shoes break down. Well just to be fair I figured they probably just needed to be broken in. The second day I did another 4 miles and now I see why people rave about this shoe. It was very ridged at first but as I warmed up and got my stride going the shoes worked very well. I would recommend this shoe. The price however....

I find a lot of complaints I have read about this shoe, save the gore-tex's breathability in hot weather issue, could be resolved with the addition of superfeet.

They're $259 USD equivalent here in the shops, so I think this price is very reasonable.

The price however, what? I agree they're expensive but oh so sweet. I got em for like $9 from my credit card rewards and 3%0 off at footlocker. Yes! My fav shoes, but I do like light shoes for long running in easy terrain. Otherwise, these shoes are it. Running on dirt, running in desert, on grass, on loose gravel, in rain, rehabbing ankle, do it with these shoes. Price is fair.
