I'm a Hestra fan, and own a pair of under cuff Hestra Ski Cross as well. These things are not Gore Tex, but after a full season never had an issue of staying dry (of course I'm CO, so heavy, wet snow fall is not that common). I picked these up for powder days, and ended up using them every day. The wrist strap wide and very comfortable. The cuffs are huge and easy to tighten. Once the lining packed out a little they became the perfect fit. Supple and if they don't make that weird fabric on fabric noise you get with other non-leather gloves. Adding oil/wax will keep them soft and increase waterproofing, but will darken the appearance of leather palms, but that shouldn't be a surprise. Finally, very warm for a glove, but I still keep a pair of light liners just in case.
