Gear Review
Good deal, maybe need to break in first.

I took these on a 10 mile soft snow/some ice hike up two 14ers in Colorado. They are made to work well with neumatic crampons, which I had to buy at a local outdoors store (REI didn't have enough of a selection in stock) in order to get a pair that fit my smaller (women's 8) feet without hacksawing them. I didn't actually use the crampons with them yet, but they will work well when I do.
They gave my feet several blisters half-way into the hike, which doesn't typically happen with my other hiking shoes (I don't usually use actual high top hiking boots, in summer months). I think it would've been helpful to break them in before hand, and/or to tape my toes before hiking in them, to prevent hot spots.
These fit true to size - I ordered a size 39 and I normally wear a women's 8.
