The Best Scout Pack Period.

By Backcountry.com Employee November 7, 2008

These packs rock. We took four of them up to Red Castle lake with a group of Boy Scouts. The pack will fit just about any boy, and is fairly easy to adjust on the trail. We had one boy with a 28" waist and one boy with a 38" waist in these packs, and we were able to get them adjusted for each. Straps have multiple attachment points to adjust for narrower shoulders and different torso lengths. The top flap has elastic to allow boys to strap insane amounts of gear under it. The external frame keeps the back cool and provides a really stable frame. These bags are the best external frame packs I've ever seen. Bag the orange BSA packs, do your boys a favor, and buy them this pack. If your boys insist on internal frame packs, or you're doing canyoneering and need something shoulder width, try this: Jansport Big Bear - http://www.backcountry.com/store/JAN0303/JanSport-Big-Bear-63-Backpack-3600cu-in.html
