I didn't know whether this fleece would be thinner than I was looking for, but when I got it it turned out to be the appropriate weight. In terms of warmth for wearing it around, this can replace a sweatshirt and even go a little colder (with only a t-shirt underneath, so layering would help its warmth even more). Highly recommended.
