Gear Review
Only adequate bag.

Good for hiking and camping. Not so good for hauling computer stuff around. The computer slot does not go to the bottom of the bag so weight is distributed oddly vertically. It sits too high on your back. This also causes stuff to get "caught" underneath the laptop section within the large main zippered area. The laptop holder is not padded itself. The front zippered area does not open up enough for easy access to gear stored in this pocket. The zippers need to go all the way to the bottom. There are two straps that also interfere with opening the zippers all the way. This compartment is what I access most frequently and it is cumbersome to use.
Material and construction quality are top notch. The straps are nicely padded and have a cross-connect strap. The back is nicely padded for long wear times. The bottom could be padded more to protect the laptop from impacts.
