Gear Review
Just a little long - but still 5 stars

Ranked #317 - Men's Down Jackets

You couldn't get cold in this coat if your life depended on it. The hood and wrist enclosures beat back the chill and refused to let any wind in. The only problem was the length. You could walk around Chicago on the coldest windiest day and laugh at the windchill factor. But if you wanted to walk up a hill the length of the coat keeps grabbing at your thighs. I went with the Mountain Hardwear Sub Zero Parka which is a little shorter. It is just as warm and it gives your legs the freedom they need to do some hiking. Be warned - MHW coats might be too warm for some people. I was in -12 degrees with the windchill and I had to start dropping the zipper after a 1/4 mile.
