I need a down sweater for an Alaska backpacking trip I'm doing this summer. It needs to fit over a couple layers. I tried on the Patagonia down sweater size S and while the arms fit perfect the length of the jacket was awkwardly short. How does this jacket compare?
I'm 5'9" and 125 lb, usually wear a S. What size would you recommend? Would the body/sleeves of the jacket be long enough?

I'm 5'9", 140 lbs, 32DD. I bought a medium. The sleeves are perfect, and it is cut to be a bit longer in the back, so it's not super-short. I think you'd probably be okay with a small if you don't want to wear much under it.

I am 5' 8" and 150 lbs. I got the medium, which fits great. The sleeves come down past my wrists and to the start of my thumbs. For layering underneath, I might suggest a medium, as mine tightens up quite a bit on my bust (34D), but other than that, two layers underneath, provided they're not bulky, would work just fine. oh, and it's ridicuously comfy!
