Is this one, uniformly thick piece of fabric across, or is there a bit of a cut-out so there is less pressure directly on your eyes?

Actually, I just tried this out at REI. It has a padded piece across the bottom that blocks light and keeps the mask off your eyes. It's really comfortable. My only gripe: It has a stupid clasp on the strap instead of velcro, which means discomfort if your head rests on the area where the clasp is.
