What is the difference between this jacket and Pamir Windstopper...

By Ranked #4462 - Men's Softshell Jackets April 1, 2009

What is the difference between this jacket and Pamir Windstopper jacket? Pamir is cheaper and looks practically the same, except for 1 pocket instead of 2 which Sentinel has. Any difference in quality between those 2 jackets? Are they both totally lined with Windstopper? What is the difference of the fleece lining between the two?

ok, Ill answer your questions exactly as you asked them. 1) difference between Setenal and Pamir - Sentinel is a water and wind proof softshell jacket, Pamir is a wind resistant fleece jacket that isnt water proof. 2) difference in quality - Setinel is more durable so i could be considered "higher quality" 3) lined with windstopper - They are both fully lined with a wind blocking membrain, the pamir jacket is supposed to be windproof, but i wouldnt trust that. The Sentinel uses Gore windstopper, which is windproof gaurenteed 4) fleece and lining - setinel is lined with a supprisingly soft brushed fleece but wont be as comfortable as the Pamir, which is lined with softer fleece hope that helps
