I want to say no. But on the Marmot web site it says "The top of the waist belt is constructed behind both the aluminum frame and the HDPE frame sheet." So I have a feeling the answer is no. if it is behind the frame sheet it usually means it's stitched behind the sheet. you could go to marmot's website & email customer service also.
