anyone know what the base material on these bad boys is??? and has anyone had trouble with bindings ripping out?? i just got through with a pair of ninthward first bloods and had the heel piece rip clean out. i'd like to avoid that in future purchases

These skis have P-Tex 200 bases, you can check that out on their website. As for the bindings ripping out, that usually isn't the skis fault, it only happens on poor mounting jobs. Take it to a good shop, and they should take care of you good.
