Sorry to bother y'all again, but..I'm trying to get into winter backpacking, mountaineering, and general cold adventuring and am hunting for an insulated jacket (and probably pants too). I'm looking mainly at the MH Lodown, MH Compressor, and the MH Phantom (due to my almost religious attraction with MHW, I haven't looked outside this brand, but I'm not opposed) and I'm not sure how they compare - if they would all work with proper layering, or only for certain situations/temp ranges? I get cold kind of easily (especially in the hands and feet), but I think I heat up and sweat a bit when I get going - so big temperature fluctuations. Packability isn't the biggest selling point, and I'd be wearing a waterproof/breathable shell over them everytime I head out into the wilderness. Or Hope I'm not irritatin too much, I'm just trying to make my first purchase a good'n. Any help would be awesomely appreciated, and reciprocated with some positive karma waves. Thanks

If you aren't opposed to other brands. The Marmot Mountain Down jacket would be another great option for you. And it has a hood (you'll want one of those when it get's bitter cold).
