I have been using a Burton bullet 59 but the bottom has been peeling off. It was ok until this year when a total of one foot of the bottom had pulled off. So now I am out of a board and was thinking about buying a new board but I was unsure what I should be looking for. I do not like terrain parks, I love going fast, and the more powder the better. I am about 177 pounds, 6'1" and have big feet (size12.5 boot). I have had problems with my toes catching the ground on a few boards so a wide board would probably be best. I don’t really know what level of snowboarding I am at but I have been snowboarding for around five to six years.
My cousin (a Vail instructor) suggested I get a good pair of boots. I have been asking around people have been telling me that the Driver X is a good pair.
I appreciate any help

I am so happy with my burton driver x boots! I've got about 25 days on them and they are holding up great and are the most comfy boot I have had in about 25 years of riding...

hey bob, BUR2493 (copy into search bar and hit enter)...thats the Burton Malolo, a renouwned powder board that can still rip the rest of the mountain, that doesnt come in wide however, so im my mind the second best choice would be the Custom X wide BUR2471...thats a great all mountain board too and is wide enough for you. and the driver x are incredibly stiff boots, i would have reccomend the Burton SLX BUR2518...a meduim flexing boot that doesnt sacrifice performance or response for comfort, cuz the driver x's might be uncomfortable because they are sooooooo stiff ...so yeah, either of those boards and the SLX would be my dream big mountain set up, and your friend is completley right, if you are going to invest in something, make it GOOD boots, because a bad pair of boots can ruin a season real quick, hope that helps :-)
