What is faux down? Does this jacket have a temperature rating? You wouldn't believe the weather they take the toddlers out in at our daycare! We're at 9000 ft elevation with a lot of wind. I need a really good jacket.

Faux down is a poly based inslation that is meant to mimick down. Coats really cannot have a temp rating as it is totally based on the amount of activity being done. With normal out door activity this coat will keep the little ones well below freezing. Hope that helps.
