Hellbent vs. Pontoon - How do they ski and how different are they ? Which is the best bet for deep pow ? Is it purely down to taste ? I know they use different technologies but there must be crossover. I have Rossi S7s and want to compare and contrast...
Thanks for that Angus. The thing that freaked me a little and made me think the Pontoons would be an option was seeing someone shredding the groomers at Powder Mountain on them. He did not seem to be having much trouble. I guess he must've been a pro !

These are a bit narrower, but the biggest difference is the cut. The Pontoon is 160-130-120. It doesn't flare back out at the tail, which makes it almost unturnable in anything but bottomless powder. These still have a bit of sidecut. Unless you can afford to have a cold-smoke-only ski, I'd get these. When the snow gets sticky in the afternoon, you'll still be able to chuck these around, but the Pontoons will just slide out.
