Dont get the Gore-Tex if you are stepping in water that will spill into the top of the shoe because Gore wont drain and you will be running with shoes full of water. The Gore-Tex ones are only really good to keep your feet dry running through wet grass and small puddles.

These shoes are great! (BOA) But for in and out of water go with the ultra 104 by The North Face! Slightly heavier but they use gore-tex which will handle a variety of conditions!
