Hello, looking for a hiking shoe. Just a bit confused on which one is best suited for me/conditions. Currently I live between Switzerland and Florida...while in Switzerland we hike. High elevation hikes, crossing waterfalls, rough terrrain. Have a pair of high top Lowa's, low cut Merrills and mid Salomons. In July we are off to the Canadian Rockies for a hiking trip and want something multi purpose (better for packing) that is waterproof too. Any suggestions????

Loretta. I would consider the Montrail Women's Hardrock Mid GTX Shoe. It is a combo running/hiking shoe with the GoreTex laminate for weather and water protection. The mid-height shoe will also provide you with a bit more support if you are carrying a pack. Hope this info helps!
