I'm a 36 to 38 C, despite being quite fit. I'm looking for a halter swimsuit top that will provide adequate support and decent fit for relaxing on the beach, and occasional swimming, but obviously not swimming laps. Suggestions? (Especially regarding L vs XL)

Yes I completely understand you wanting support as well as coverage. I tought the cups profile was more for a thin junior body and not for women with large busts. I wear a 34DD tried this and returned it for thelackof coverage. Other than that it was comfy, felt secure and the fabric was beautiful.
