I am interested in this board but I'm a beginner. Will it be too much to handle because I have seen it listed for intermediate to advanced skill level and I only just started snowboarding this past year.

Nah you'll be fine. It might ride a little stiff and unforgiving at first. But after the first few times the board will break in and become much more comfortable.
