What is the temperature range for this jacket?Is it a pretty thick jacket or fairly thin?How about the wool- is it pretty soft, or rough and rugged?

I've worn it down to 15 F with no wind and it was fine. It's not windproof, but anything from 20 to 50 is good. It's kinda stiff, but not that thick. And the wool is quite rough, but the inside isn't scratchy.
