Blackhawk wasn't an operation, it is the name of a helicopter. The Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk. Nothing to do with the movie Blackhawk Down, which depicts the operation you mention. That operation was simply known as "The battle of Mogidishu." Blackhawk is the name of the Jacket. The "Down" is simply the filling. So its not a "Blackhawk Down" Jacket.... but a "Blackhawk - Down Jacket." Named after the Helicopter, not the Battle of Mogidishu.

i guess they did------------------Ever think that maybe it's named after the Blackhawk and it's a down jacket? The operation wasn't called Blackhawk Down, that was the name of the book and then the movie. The operation was part of Operation Gothic Snake and the military still calls it the Battle of Mogadishu.
