I am 5" 5" - I am just starting to skate ski. What size poles should I order? What is the differnce between the Salomon Elite 8 skate ski and the Salomon Vitane Elite 8 ski?

Unfortunately height is not the only factor for determining pole length. However if you are just getting started you can get a good fit by measuring the distance from the floor to the tip of your nose.The Vitane are supposed to be women specific while the elite's are mens. On that note I've never been able to tell the difference between a womens specific and mens specific ski.
