I have a 10000 BTU Window AC unit. How would I connect a solar panel to only run it and leave the rest of my house on city power?

Most AC units draw more power than a small solar panel can provide, and wiring solar power to your home requires a skilled electrician. Many states offer tax credits for installing solar panels. If you're serious about wanting to harness solar energy I recommend that you find a local person that specializes in solar installations.
