I've got an XT right now, maybe an upgrade is the thing to do. But, what's the diff between top and down swing?

The difference between top and down swing is where the derailleur sits in relationship with the clamp.· top swing (derailleur on top of the clamp)· down swing (derailleur under the clamp)Most frames will take top swing, but not all will take down.
