Is the C-12 enough protection for on the water? I noticed on the Kaenon website the lense is also available in the C-28 and C-50. Is this necessary or over kill?

C12 is perfect for on the water - without glare, your eyes will be at ease and will thank you. Especially on the bright days. C12 is your standard sunglass lens darkness. C28 is approx half as dark and is good for partial sun days, but still very soothing if the sun does come out. C50 is definitely for use in not-so-bright weather - good for golfing/boating when you start off early in the AM or getting into the PM or overcast days.
