Okay, I looked on Marmot.com and they have generic instructions for this:10. How do I roll my hood into a collar? To roll your hood into a collar take the visor portion of the hood and fold it under and under itself forming a collar (this takes a little patience to get a flat even roll). Then take the tab at the outside back of the neck and fold it over the newly formed collar. Put the tab through the loop on the inside back of the neck and attach it to itself. Viola!Does this make any sense to anyone? I love the jacket, but I'm going to have to return it if the hood won't roll.

Just roll the hood down (leaving the OUTSIDE OUT) until it is about collar length. See that velcro flap on the outside? See the coat-hanger hook on the inside? Loop the flap through the hook and velcro it down. Done! I hope this wasn't "too little too late" and it helps someone! I use a marmot shell while motorcycling for excellent windbreaking and weather protection.
