I'm planning a trip to CO this summer. Will do a day loop including two class 2 14ers and a brief section of class 3. I have a fairly narrow foot and I blister easily so a breathable gore-tex is what I was considering. This shoe caught my eye but I'm open to suggestions.

The shoe is lightweight and breathable...almost cool, so bring yourself a pair of (heavy) Hiking boots as well so you have a choice. I suggest Alpaca hiking socks, "Expedition" socks are good for blisters but are hard to find, and are for extreme winter. Made from pure "Alpaca". Llama I have to immobilize the foot using the sock thickness. Rotating the shoe or boot out everyday helps as well. I would make sure you like the ankle support shoe or the regular shoe without ankle support. T.
