A Question about Arc'teryx Theta AR Jacket - Men's

By MOkoFOko on June 12, 2008

I just wanted to comment on a topic I mentioned in my review--without rating it again. Renotstamm was correct in that the DWR protection on waterproofed articles like this do need to be reapplied from time to time--but I didn't know you could do it yourself. Thanks, but I'm going to stick to the Granger product-line. Just after my original post, I found the care tips site for this product:http://www.gore-tex.com/remote/Satellite/women/outerwear/pro-shell/jackets/1183959670275As recommended, I've purchased the Granger's wash and shell proofing spray. I'm disappointed that this site doesn't feature a spray-on proofing product, because Arc'teryx are NOT supposed to be wash-in proofed. One small point of disagreement with bryan though--I like this jacket because it's lite and basic--weighing it down with the unnecessaries would only serve to diminish the possibilities for use. This is my only jacket without the warmth factor--and I'm glad!

Point taken kindly MOkoFOko. I do agree with it's liteness and basic - don't need the thrills design - it's very functionable. I'll look into Granger's. THNX!
