Pac-lite will hold up better than HyVent any day. Even the Pac-lite version of Gore-tex is great stuff.

Yes it is. The Foray has Gore-Tex Paclite, which is a whole lot better HyVent DT that the Venture jacket has. They are very similar in weight too, so go with the Foray.
