Does this kayak handle well when used by only one person or is it better to have two always?

It'll handle plenty easy with one person since you'll have a lighter overall load. But you'll get further, faster with a partner to help paddle...unless they're lilly-dipping up there.

I enjoy it best when alone. It feels more nimble when I (at 250lbs.) am in the middle. However, it is a good boat with two people. I have not used the child's seat yet.
