i wear a womans 11. can i realy order a 10 and not be too small even with thick socks?

I wear a womens street shoe 9-9.5 and take a sorel size 8 in womens. The women's fit narrower and I found that the 9's were way to big (I tried them on at a mtn retail shop)

I usually wear a size 8 and got the size 8! With thick socks they are perfect. A winter boot that is too tight is NOT GOOD at all. Your feet will not be as warm, no matter what kind of boot you wear! I prefer them being too big than too small. But it also depends on your feet. I have a wide foot so staying true to my size was better, in my case.

Everybody's different, but I think you'd be good. I ordered my actual size first and even with the thickest socks I own my feet were still flopping around and I had to send them back and get a size smaller. They fit great!
