Hi- I just bought the Big Agnes Sleeping Giant pad and it's awfully thin for these old bones. The existing pad is about an inch thick and I bottom out hard all over when I'm on it. Can an inflatable pad be added? I guess I could use my Thermarest too but then I'm carrying two pads on my motorcycle. Am I missing something (besides a young, lithe body ;-)? TIA...

This pad is a "kit" and meant to upgrade another pad. In other words, you insert another pad into the sleeve of this one and it is not meant to be used alone. The description on this site does not clearly point this out. Go to BA's site and they clearly describe it as an upgrade to an existing pad.
