You can get these shoes wet and they will be just fine; your feet will get wet, but the shoe won't fall apart.

Hey Jason,The shoes handle the wet really well. They will expel moisture well but if you're going to be in a lot of river situations of streams you may look at some Keen sandals or something more adapt to that sort of activity.
