i wash my vest for the first time followed washing directions to a tee.Now all the down is in big chucks (balls)in the jacket.Need HELP this my favorite jacket

When you dried it did you put some tennis balls in the dryer with it? That's usually the key to regaining the poofyness of down.Hope that helps.------------------Agreed. Wash it again, but this time dry it BY ITSELF, nothing else in the dryer, with 4-5 tennis balls in there. That should loosen it up. If you just try to tumble it again those clumps won't break up, they have to get wet again.------------------------You probably don't need to wash it again... just tumble (no heat.. or low heat) it in the dryer with something to break up the down clumps. This is normal and they will break up eventually in the dryer. Patience is key.
