Scarpa ZG65 XCR Hiking Boot - Men's
I am searching for a nice hiking boot for my trip to the BWCA....

I am searching for a nice hiking boot for my trip to the BWCA. We will be taking on some challenging portages (long, rocky, and wet). I am about 240 and will be carring a heavy load. My foot is about a 13, maybe 13.5, and runs a little wide. Is this a good boot for me and what size boot should I order?

Hey Lance,This is a really nice boot but I would actually look at more of a backpacking boot. You'll want something a little beefier for what you're looking to do. Scarpa is a very good choice as is Asolo, Merrell and Vasque. Backcountry's got a great selection of backpacking boots so you should check them out.Hope that helps.
