no no no! they are on the inside of the SHELL of the boots...two perfect little velcro pads for the J-Bars to go on. the J-Bars help a lot too

Just take the liner out. You will see velcro panels on the sides of the liner. Just velcro the J-bars to the side of the liners, put em back in and your good to go.
