My sister is a day hiker and needs to get herself a pair of poles. How does one order the compact size? will they fit a 5' 2" woman?

Peter,These poles are fully adjustable and will work well for someone who is 5'2" or 6'2". Check out http://www.bdel.com/gear/trail.php to get a better idea of the flip lock. My first pair of trekking poles were the BD Contour and they have been amazing. The compact size is unavailable, only standard/regular is left. The height difference between compact and regular will not really make a difference, the advantage would be in narrower grips for your sister's hands. Mahalo, Sumo
