I'm 5'9", 160. I've heard Marmot fit a little big; can I get away with a small and have room for a layer, such as a wool sweater or heavyweight poly? Don't necc. need a fleece underneath it.

i would go with the medium, just for the extra room and it that doesnt work, you can always exchange it.
