i have found that black iridium tends to be a good all around lens, but you lose a lot of depth in the snow and when there isn't a lot of light. if you are only going to get one pair of goggles and you plan on riding when it is cloudy, snowy, overcast, or foggy, do not get the fire lenses. i have the fire lenses and they suck for anything other than sun, but they are amazing in sun. if you are getting one pair, i would say the best all around lens to get it persimmon, you just won't get a cool mirror look to the lenses, but if you are getting 2 pairs i would say get fire or black iridium and a H.I. blue or pink iridium

Hey David,You're right, crazy amount of lens choices..... I'm a huge fan of black iridium. They're fairly dark. The permisson lens is a little lighter lens for not so bright days in the mountains or early morning, late afternoon riding. The fire lens is quite a dark lens and is really nice for very bright days. If you're shooting for two pair I'd go with something really dark and something fairly light so you have your bases covered.Hope that helps. Also if you ride somewhere that tends to be foggy the H.I. Blue lenses are a MUST.
