I am looking at buying the Burton Clash, but not sure what size to get. Have been snowboarding about 3 times, but picked it up pretty quickly. Probably classified as intermediate or advanced beginner. I am about 5'11" to 6' tall, and about 180-185 pounds. The salespeople were telling me I should go with the 155, but that seems a little small to me, especially if I want a board I can use as I get better. Which is the better choice, the 155 or 160?

The size of your board is really based off personal preference, specifically in certain terrain and weather conditions. Generally speaking, a longer board can perform better in powder, as they have greater surface area, however, the speed, precision and overall maneuverability are not a great as as shorter board. I would think about where and how you like to ride, and if it's in the park and haulin' down the slope, maybe go for a 157. If you find yourself enjoying the powder days, then look into a slightly longer board at 160. But I would talk to a couple of specialists when you're fitting your self to your board. I have always gone into a pro shop and explained what I wanted, told them to pick the top three boards that met my needs and I would either demo them or pick the one I liked the best. Good luck and I hope this helped!
