I have hiked with a granite gear vapor trail for years, and their support staff is great. They will switch out hip belts and I bet if you asked they would accommodate you for shoulder straps.

Once you get the pack, you might have to contact Granite Gear directly for a swap...backcountry currently does not stock components...
